School Bus Vs. Delivery Truck

This afternoon at 16:05 hrs. Sta. 51 along with KC Medic's were dispatched for an MVC involving a school bus at the intersection of Halltown Rd and Proctors Purchase Rd. Command 51 with Chief Frank Ballek soon went responding, and was advised of the same. Engine 51-3 with a full crew of 7 went responding at 16:09 hrs as well as A-51. Upon arrival of Command 51 chief ballek established Halltown Rd Command, and advised of a school bus with approximately 12 children aboard had been rear ended by a delivery truck with extensive damage to the truck. Command had Kent Center start the next ambulance not knowing the number of injured. E51-3 arrived at 16:16 hrs. and were instructed to assist with patient care and securing the vehicles. Amb. A-56 was instructed to the delivery truck as the crew from A-51 evaluated the occupants of the bus. Upon the arrival of R51-6 Command had the crew assisted E51-3's crew and clear the road of debris. The EMS crews had only one complaint from the bus driver with neck and back pain, crews packaged and transported to KGH, A-56 transported 1 patient from the delivery truck to KGH. Command then placed the situation under control at 16:30 hrs. Upon the arrival of DSP the last 51 unit cleared the scene at 16:50. Units on scene: Command 51, E51-3, R51-6, A-51, A-56, KC Medic's, 51 Fire Police, and DSP.
