In the early afternoon hours of September 18th, Hartly’s volunteers were initially dispatched for a MVC in 5100 block of Forrest Avenue. Prior to units going enroute, Kent Center started to received calls reporting a subject trapped and upgraded the call bringing additional resources from the Dover Fire Department, Kent County ALS and BLS from Station 56 (Marydel). Once units arrived on scene, command was established and crews observed a 2 vehicle MVC with negative entrapment. Crews from all agencies went to work stabilizing the vehicles involved and assisting EMS with patient packaging. Once all patient’s were transported, the scene was placed under control and units returned to service with the scene being turned over to DSP.
